Sump Drake
Large dragon, neutral evil
The lower galleries of the Saltspire Salt Mine flood and are pumped and flood again, and something in the standing water has learned to like it. Sump drakes are patient in a way dock drakes never become. They let a shift go past, and take the last one out.

Traits
Amphibious. The sump drake can breathe air and water.
Brine Fury. When the sump drake first drops to 76 hit points or fewer, it enters a fury for the rest of the encounter. While furious it gains access to the actions marked [Fury], and its bite deals an extra 7 (2d6) acid damage.
Actions
Multiattack. The sump drake makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws. [Fury] It can replace one claw attack with Sump Spray.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
Caustic Bilge (Recharge 5–6). The sump drake exhales the standing water of the lower gallery in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 36 (8d8) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Sump Spray [Fury]. Ranged Weapon Attack: the sump drake spits brine at one creature it can see within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or be blinded until the end of the drake's next turn.
