Thundercroak
Large monstrosity, unaligned
A fen toad as big as an ox, its throat-sac mottled like a storm cloud. Thundercroaks wake with the summer storms and call to each other across the marshes. A full chorus can knock reeds flat and burst the eardrums of anyone caught on the causeway, and lightning drawn to the fens only fattens them.

Traits
Fen-Born. The thundercroak breathes as easily underwater as in air.
Great Hop. The thundercroak can jump 30 feet forward or 15 feet straight up without a run-up.
Storm-Fed. Lightning heals the thundercroak instead of hurting it: it regains as many hit points as the Lightning damage would have dealt.
Actions
Multiattack. The thundercroak makes one Bite attack and one Tongue Lash attack.
Bite. Melee Attack Roll: +7, reach 5 ft. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) Piercing damage.
Tongue Lash. Melee Attack Roll: +7, reach 15 ft. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) Bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15) and pulled up to 10 feet toward the thundercroak.
Thunder Croak (Recharge 5-6). The thundercroak bellows in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 27 (6d8) Thunder damage and is deafened for 1 minute. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage and isn't deafened.
