Gallowsdancer
Large monstrosity, unaligned
It hangs a light. Not a real one — a cluster of its own eggs, which glow the particular yellow of a keeper's lamp seen through fog, at about the height a lantern would be carried. Everything in the marsh has been trained by nine towers to walk toward exactly that, and the gallowsdancer has been eating well since the towers went out.

Traits
False Lantern. The gallowsdancer hangs a glowing egg-cluster that sheds dim light in a 30-foot radius. A creature that sees it and does not know what it is must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom (Insight) check to tell it from a carried lantern at more than 30 feet.
Ambusher. The gallowsdancer has advantage on attack rolls against any creature it has surprised.
Spider Climb. The gallowsdancer can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without an ability check.
Actions
Multiattack. The gallowsdancer makes one bite attack and one leg attack.
Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take 10 (3d6) poison damage and be paralyzed until the end of its next turn.
