NPC Codex
Find a ready-made NPC, grab a copy, chat with them or remix their art, or write your own.
The NPC Codex is a library of ready-made NPCs, each with art and a profile. It only lists NPCs that are published and approved.
Find one
Search by name or description, or filter by role, race, alignment, faction and tag.
Use one
- Grab this NPC adds a private copy to your Vault that you can change.
- Chat with opens a conversation with them in the Assistant.
- Remix the art opens Summon with their portrait as the starting point.
- If you run a campaign, Add to Campaign Log puts them in one of your campaigns.
Write your own
Press Write your own NPC at the top of the Codex. An NPC lives in a campaign, so it asks which one:
- In one campaign, you go straight to its NPC form.
- In several, you pick one. Campaigns you run are listed first.
- In none, it offers to start a campaign. It can be just you.
In a campaign you run, the NPC joins the Campaign Log right away. In one you play in, it waits for your DM to approve it.
