Tallow-Hound
Medium undead, neutral evil
The keepers kept dogs, and rendered them when they died — a tower burned a great deal of tallow and wasted nothing. A hound that has been burned as light long enough begins to come back to the smell of its own fuel. They hunt the way they were trained to patrol: out from the tower, along the road, and back, forever, on a route nobody has walked in thirty years.
