Loremaster’s notes

The Tempest Cleric is the "I cast Shatter and use a warhammer" cleric. Heavy armor proficiency and martial weapons are the chassis. Wrath of the Storm (level 1) is a free 2d8 lightning or thunder reaction when hit by an attack. At level 6, Thunderbolt Strike: when you deal lightning damage to a creature, you can use a reaction to push it 10 feet away (and possibly off a cliff, given a vertical terrain fight). Destructive Wrath (level 17) lets you deal maximum lightning damage once per long rest. Spellcasting: Call Lightning (level 3) is a 3d10 lightning 5-foot-radius bolt 120 feet away, dealing 3d10 on a 5ft-radius area for 10 minutes (concentration). Spirit Guardians + Spiritual Weapon + Shatter is the level 5+ combo.
