Credits, Plans & Your Own Keys
What Hero changes, what a credit buys, how monthly and bought credits differ, and using your own API key.
There are two plans on sale, Free and Hero. Hero costs $7 a month. The table below is built from the same code as the Plans page.

Buy them on the Plans page. Either plan can.
How credits work
- Hero’s monthly credits are reset to the full amount each billing cycle. Monthly credits you did not use do not carry over.
- Credits you buy in a pack stay until you spend them. They are never reset.
- Monthly credits are spent before bought ones.
- A generation that fails is not charged.
- Your balance, split into monthly and bought, is on Billing in Settings.
Your own API keys
You can connect your own keys on the API keys page in Settings, on either plan.
- Art: with a OpenAI and Fal.ai key connected, FLUX.2 pro and GPT Image 1.5 run on your key and spend no credits.
- Text: with a OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, xAI and Ollama (self-hosted) key connected, the AI text features, such as the Assistant, recaps and story hooks, run on your key.
