Content Licensing
What FTTHelper builds on (SRD, OGL, Creative Commons), what we deliberately exclude, who owns what you create, and where the full attribution documents live.
FTTHelper is built on open gaming content and stays within the rules. Here is the plain-language version; the full documents live on our Licenses page.
What we build on
- The D&D 5e SRD under CC-BY-4.0 and OGL-1.0a, plus other OGL and Creative Commons sources.
- Compendium data aggregated from Open5e and the D&D 5e API, with per-entry attribution.
- Third-party OGL publishers including Kobold Press, EN Publishing, Mage Hand Press, and Darrington Press/Green Ronin.
What we deliberately exclude
Product Identity stays out even in paraphrased form: named characters, iconic creatures, and all-rights settings are not included in the Compendium or Codex.
Who owns what you create
Worlds, NPCs, characters, and art you create remain yours. AI-generated art is original work generated under commercial-use terms and disclosed on the art card. Your use of FTTHelper is governed by our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. FTTHelper is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast.
